APPOINTMENT OF
PRINCIPALS, DEANS AND DIRECTOR
This is to inform the University of Dar es Salaam community and the general public that the Acting Chancellor, Ambassador Nicholas A. Kuhanga, in exercise of the powers vested upon him under section 55 of the Universities Act No. 7 of 2005, has made the following appointments for the remainder of the 2012/2013-2014/2015 triennium.
1. Prof. Bertram B.B. Mapunda: Principal, College of Humanities. Prof. Mapunda is an Associate Professor in the Department of Archaeology and Heritage. Before this appointment, he was Acting Principal of the same College.
2. Dr Godius Kahyarara: Principal, College of Social Sciences. Dr. Kahyarara is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics. Before this appointment, he was Acting Principal of the same College.
3. Dr Consolata Chua: Dean, Faculty of Education, Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE). Dr Chuwa is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Education and was Acting Dean of the same Faculty before this appointment.
4. Prof. Sam Joseph Maghimbi: Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE). Prof. Maghimbi was Dean of the same Faculty before taking a sabbatical leave.
5. Dr Ernesta E. Mosha: Director, Institute of Kiswahili Studies. Dr Mosha is a Lecturer in the same Institute.
The University congratulates all the appointees for the new posts.
