The Lagos Police command has arrested a middle aged woman for selling a two months old baby for N30,000.
According to Vanguard, the suspect identified as Mrs Victor was arrested following a tip-off at her residence in Sabo Ilaje in Ojo, Lagos.
The suspect is currently detained at State Criminal Investigation Department where a complaint was laid that she was engaged in child trafficking.
She had confessed to the act but refused to name the buyer insisting the person is not well known to her.
A police source says investigation is ongoing to unravel the syndicate.
